Founded in Milan in 1982, Domus Academy was the first post-graduate design school in Italy representing an open project focusing on Italian Design and Fashion.
Domus Academy methodology is rooted in the learning by designing approach, where learning means investigating, researching and developing ideas and projects based on real business needs and requirements. Central to the success of Domus Academy are its professors, highly skilled professionals bringing a current and real world perspective to lectures and projects. Currently Scott Schuman, aka The Sartorialits, is visual mentor of the Fashion School.
The educational offering includes 5 one-year Fashion related Masters programs, accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education: Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Styling & Visual Merchandising, Luxury Brand Management.
During the course students have the opportunity to gain real-world work experience through an internship at prestigious design companies.
Due to its proximity to the professional design world, Domus Academy has developed an extensive network of connections and relationships with many of the most prestigious companies and studios such as Cartier, Fendi, Maserati, Pininfarina, Roberto Cavalli, Samsung, Trussardi, Versace, Vionnet.
