Victoria was born in Moscow. She graduated from the well-known university of art which became the major driving force for the following artistic career. After graduating from the Law School in 1998 Victoria found passion in painting and the photograph. Some of her works were sold to the private collections and galleries of Russia and Europe. In 2007 together with British partners, the designer established the brand Poison & Pinky for youngsters. Clothes by the young designer found fans among the girls and fashion community. Without keeping it too long, the brand started selling apparel in multibrand store So French, picking up the baton from the Russian designers who earlier worked with So French.
The first presentation of the line under Vika Smolyanitskaya brand was performed at Pret-А-Porter fashion show in Paris in 2009. The collection was highly appraised by professional buyers and fashion referees. In 2010 My Lovely Age line was launched. Different names are conditioned by different character of the 4 lines.
Vika Smolyanitskaya is the avant-garde mixture of artistic vision and contemporary glossy world. It is for those who want to be in the centre of attention, who loves clothes with character. The line was inspired by New York and Los Angeles street art along with the magnificent works by Roy Lichtenstein and Marisol Escobar. In Vika Smolyanitskaya line one can find skirts and dresses in Pop Art style along with coats and bright down jackets. In other words, it is fashion like art. My Lovely Age is the clothes line in retro style, times from early 20s to 90s. Designing this line Victoria was inspired by such style icons as Brigitte Bardot, Twiggy, Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe. Fashion repeats and many hits of the previous decades are the must-haves of new seasons. My Lovely Age is about dresses. There are puff dresses with accentuated waist of 1950s, oversize shapes from 90s and Pin-Up prints from 30s. All those trends reflect the style and profile of My Lovely Age line. Poison & Pinky continues its existence as the third line of the designer. Trendy denim, T-shirts with prints, bright accessories, light jersey and cotton girlish dresses make the basis of Poison & Pinky.
Popularity of designer grows exponentially. Following the Western standards of fashion retail, designer focuses on fast fashion segment and is flexible in responding to constantly changing trends by updating collections once a month, instead of season to season like most designers. That is why currently this is one of the few Russian brands, which remains successful and popular on the fashion wear market.
