The Results Of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Day St. Petersburg

1 April 2016 witnessed Mercedes-Benz Fashion Day Saint Petersburg - an event that traditionally follows up Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. For the first time Manege of the Cadet Corps venue hosted fashion shows from the renown St. Petersburg designer IANIS CHAMALIDY and designers-finalists of the contest New Names in Design '16. magazine carries on the contest every year.

Fashion show of the new collection from IANIS CHAMALIDY opened Mercedes-Benz Fashion Day St. Petersburg.  In the new season, Ianis Chamalidy presented traditional brand's character - 'lady-dandy'. The collection from IANIS CHAMALIDY featured rococo and chinoiserie, fancy dandy's garments and neat silhouettes of traditional Chinese dresses, magnificent European patterns and Oriental miniatures. The range of colors is kept in frames of Chinese water colors, very soft and light. The shades are blurry, obscure and dusty. Designer of IANIS CHAMALIDY beautifully plays with the restrained tiered pieces. Models on the runway appeared in male-cut shirts, vests and waistcoats, the thinnest down jackets, coats - short and long, that outgrew classic jackets and tuxedo and combined costume wool and light silk. Designer demonstrated asymmetric blouses and skirts, knickers, slim-waist and loose oversize jackets. Some garments were complemented with the clutches embroidered by silver and golden threads. Models in exquisite evening gowns closed the runway show. Andrey Samsonov who performs under project Laska Omnia provided the beautiful music background.

The next on the runway were the finalists of the contest New Names in Design '16 who showcased their collections in show case format. The catwalk united very different but very interesting design masters. Dresses that combine classical cuts with extraordinary bright colors were featured by Julia Chulkova, Kristina Kravets demonstrated a variety of shapes and silhouettes, while designer  Nika Pana featured plain and comfortable collection Marco Polo; FACILE showcased light texture of fabrics, open collarbones, high vents while Zhenya Udaltsova demonstrated minimalism with futuristic elements, bright garments from Anastаsia Dokuchaeva, architecture, mixture of different textures and complex shapes from Marusia Nizovtsova, restrained style from NEBO. In the lobby at the Cadet Corp’s Manege featured presentations from the brand of brutal accessories from silver, gold and leather  Anchor, along with the designer Stas Leontiev who designs minimalistic fashion jewelry under w-o brand. Among the celebrities who walked the runway: Merited Master of Sports in football Danila Ippolitov, gallery dealer Anna Nova, actress Polina Tolstun.

Stylists of L’Oreal Professionnel and make-up artists of Mary Kay ® took care of the hair and beauty images of the models.

New Mercedes-Benz SL was presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Day St. Petersburg that is now technically available and comes as perfect as ever. More powerful engines, the automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC, DYNAMIC SELECT with five transmission modes and Active Body Control ABC with the curve tilting function all take the legend to a new dynamic level. The high suitability for everyday use has been enhanced with the hard top, which can now be operated at up to 40 km/h, and the automatic boot separator. Visually the front end in particular has been made significantly sportier. As a result the bonnet, bumper and headlamps, among other features, are all new. The Mercedes-Benz SL is the top performer in the widest variety of disciplines: an elegant roadster for relaxed, comfortable cruising or a dynamic coupé for sporty cornering.
