Russian designers shared their favourite music play-lists

For Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia exclusively, Russian designers compiled a play-list of their favourite music, which inspires and accompanies them in their work.

Starting today playlists of top Russian designers are available exclusively on Apple Music. From aggressive tracks to melancholic ones, from Sinatra to Barbra Streisand. Oksana Fedorova (OKSANA FEDOROVA Design Studio by Oksana Fedorova), Nikita Moiseenko (SORRY, I’M NOT), Yasya Minochkina (YASYA MINOCHKINA), and Evgenia Legkodymova (Laroom) spoke about their musical preferences during their daily routine and at the time of their quests for inspiration.

Sometimes music can reveal more about a person than any words could. This play-list includes everything that has been my source of inspiration throughout this entire season, as well as the tracks I usually sing along to while driving,’ says the designer of SORRY, I’M NOT Nikita Moiseenko. He defined his musical preferences as ‘theatrical, aggressive, and melancholic’. Laroom brand compiled its play-list of Laroom Fashion Show Music tracks, which featured in the musical mixes played during the brand’s shows of several recent seasons. The play-list came out rather bright and light, combining disco tunes and instrumental music with a hint of 70s’ style.

Yasya’s Playlist from Yasya Minochkina turned out to be a selection of the designer’s moods: ‘My play-list features the music which I listen to at home, in my car, during my trips, on a plane, at the gym, with my daughter, over a dinner with my beloved one, or with my friends’. Oksana Fedorova opted for romantic autumn-spirited melodies – from Sinatra and Céline Dion to Barbra Streisand and tracks from the world’s best drama movies.
