As far as I know you have a degree in Law. What kind of complications did you have when you made a decision to change your occupation so dramatically and to launch your own brand?

Design was my dream since childhood, but my parents insisted on law department because they believed it was a more reasonable choice. At that moment they didn't exactly understand what I was going to do and whether I would be able to succeed in this difficult field - design. That's why I entered the university to study law. There was no dramatic change because I always knew I would never be a lawyer and I would start doing what I love right after graduation.

When I was studying at university just like in school I kept drawing sketches and thinking about creating my own brand.

Your collections are always perfectly feminine. Have you ever thought about creating another casual line, a more relaxed one?

Number of our stores is always growing. There is constant work on creating new projects, designing new outfit; our team is growing. Currently there are several different lines and I hope that every client will be able to find and choose in our stores something suitable for her situation, at least this is what we are working for. There is a bridal collection coming out soon, collection for the most important event in every girl's life.

Style of 1950s has been on top of the trend lately, floor-length dresses with puffed sleeves, floral prints, new-look silhouette. Has the concept of your brand been like that from the beginning or it is the tribute to fashion?

Of course, from the very beginning. I always wanted to design purely feminine garments, the ones that would garnish girls. A lot of garments were made according to my school sketches. Moreover I do not want to boast but it was our brand that was one of the first in Russia to contribute popularity to the new look style. It's a pity there are so many fakes and copies of our garments at the moment, even our trademark is faked. This is another side of success but I still can't get used to the fact that we are one of the most popular designer brands in Russia. I simply live, do what I enjoy the most and feel happy because I am making happy a lot of girls and women around the world.

Can you tells us a little about your plans? In the 28th Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia you showcased the collection inspired by the Summer Garden in St Petersburg. What is the new line about?

I cannot unlock all the secrets but I can say that we are preparing a very unusual and bright show.

Do you have any role models in fashion world or simply you favourite designers, someone you could point out?

I really like what Elie Saab does, his dresses are magnificent and incredibly feminine.

What is your image of the girl or woman who chooses dresses from Yulia Prokhorova. Beloe Zoloto.

It can be any girl or woman:  age, body and other features do not matter. All our clients have one simple common feature, they are all incredibly feminine, soft, they have something inside that makes them all real women.
